PROVENCE IMMERSION 2012:

Following the success of our Immersion in France earlier this year, we will return to Provence in 2012. The dates for this will be:

17th to 23rd June and
24th to 30th June

HUNTER VALLEY IMMERSION 2012:

If there is sufficient interest, we may also offer a local Immersion in the Hunter Valley. Potential dates for this Immersion are:

Group 1: 24th to 26th September or
Group 2: 26th to 28th September

FRENCH À LA CARTE IMMERSION 2011

In June/July, French à la Carte facilitated an Immersion in Provence through Crea-Langues, a language school based in a former monastery. During the Immersion students attended classes in the morning and participated in activities during the afternoon whilst continuing to speak French.

One of the highlights was the outstanding cuisine. The meals showcased the local produce and the quintessentially French atmosphere encouraged ongoing French conversation.

The monastery was an ideal venue for this event and our hosts were incredibly professional and hospitable. The experience was a great success and another immersion is in the planning.

PAST EVENTS AT FRENCH À LA CARTE

In March, our guest at our Literary French Breakfast was Henrietta Taylor, author of “Escaping” and “Lavender and Linen”. Henrietta was holidaying in Australia and joined us to speak about her books and her life in France.
Last November, French à la Carte hosted a Literary French Breakfast with Mary Moody, well-known author of books including: "Last Tango in Toulouse", "Au Revoir", "Lunch with Madame Murat", "The Long Table" and "Sweet Surrender". It was a most entertaining morning, with Mary regaling us with wonderful anecdotes of her life as an Australian in a French Village.
