1–3 days | NSW-VIC-ACT

These local immersions are perfect for a quick escape into French without leaving the country. They’re designed for adult learners who want to practise French intensively in a warm, supportive environment.

Mornings include structured classes led by qualified native French teachers.
Afternoons feature a variety of cultural, creative and social activities designed to get you using French naturally — from local discoveries and workshops to games, food experiences and conversation.
Evenings are spent together over dinner, followed by optional activities like card games or fireside chats.
Depending on the retreat, accommodation may be included or arranged in comfortable hotels nearby.

Who can join a French Immersion Retreat?

Our immersions are open to adult French learners from all backgrounds — whether you're a current student at French à la Carte or discovering us for the first time.

To ensure a rewarding experience for everyone, each immersion requires a minimum level of French. This allows participants to fully engage in conversations, activities and cultural experiences conducted entirely in French. We welcome:

Learners who are comfortable speaking and understanding French at the required level
Retirees, professionals, travellers and anyone passionate about the language
Solo participants, couples or friends — our groups are small, friendly and inclusive
