1–3 days | NSW-VIC-ACT

These local immersions are perfect for a quick escape into French without leaving the country. They’re designed for adult learners who want to practise French intensively in a warm, supportive environment.

Mornings include structured classes led by qualified native French teachers.
Afternoons are filled with cultural activities: nature walks, cooking, games, and storytelling — all in French.
Evenings are spent together over dinner, followed by optional activities like card games or fireside chats.
Accommodation is arranged in comfortable hotels, with options for private or shared rooms.

These immersions are ideal for those who want to boost their confidence, meet other French learners, and enjoy a mini French escape close to home.

🌍 Longer French Language Retreats Overseas

7-10 days | France, New Caledonia, Tahiti

Our overseas immersions offer a deeper dive into French language and culture, set in breathtaking locations where French is spoken natively.

Full immersion in French from morning to night, with local cultural experiences woven into every moment.
Daily classes with native French teachers, tailored to your level and goals.
Excursions to local markets, museums, villages, and nature spots — all in French.

These longer immersions are perfect for learners who want to combine travel with language learning, and experience French in its natural habitat.

Who can join a French Immersion Retreat?

Our immersions are open to all adult learners — whether you're a current student at French à la Carte or discovering us for the first time.

To ensure a rewarding experience for everyone, each immersion requires a minimum level of French. This allows participants to fully engage in conversations, activities and cultural experiences conducted entirely in French. We welcome:

Learners who are comfortable speaking and understanding French at the required level
Retirees, professionals, travellers and anyone passionate about the language
Solo participants, couples or friends — our groups are small, friendly and inclusive
