French Choir – La Chorale FALC

Important Announcement

After several wonderful terms of singing together, the French Choir will be coming to an end at the conclusion of Term 2, 2026.
Our final regular rehearsal will take place on Wednesday 17 June 2026.

In recent months, attendance has gradually declined, and the group has unfortunately become too small to continue on a regular basis.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Lynne, who has generously devoted countless hours to preparing rehearsals, selecting music, and leading the choir with enthusiasm and dedication. The choir has always been a labour of love, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed over the years.

We would also like to thank all choir members, past and present, for sharing their love of French language and music with us.

We hope to organise a few special rehearsals later in the year in preparation for a possible performance at our Fête de Noël, and we will communicate further details if this goes ahead.

La chorale FALC is a French choir open to everyone interested in singing in French.

The choir is run by Lynne, one of our students, who plays the piano wonderfully and, although not an experienced choir leader, loves to share her love of singing and French music.

We typically start each session with a warm up of our body and vocal cords, then we sing simple songs like Frère Jacques or Au Clair de la lune, before moving on to more "advanced" songs.

French is actually excellent to improve your language skills! It trains your ears to the melody of French, improves pronunciation, helps understanding grammar and conjugation, and brings lots of vocabulary. Perfect for all levels!

La chorale FALC is free and is run in franglais.
