If you have a sweet tooth then this fun class is for you! Gain new skills and learn how to master the art of French classic dessert recipes in a professional kitchen at the Dougherty Community Centre in Chatswood. You will enjoy eating your handmade desserts in class and even take some home with you at the end of the workshop.
During this workshop, you will learn how to make a typical pâte sablée (shortcrust pastry) and prepare three delicious French desserts :
Tarte aux fruits rouges: Almond pâte sablée shell layered with almond cream, crème patissière, raspberry confit, topped with fresh berries.
Tarte aux 2 citrons: Almond pâte sablée shell filled with silky lime & lemon cream.
Tarte chocolat gianduja: Almond pâte sablée shell filled with gianduja chocolate ganache.
To make this experience complete, the workshop will be run in ‘français facile’ (with a bit of English when necessary) by a professional chef pâtissière, trained in France. You will learn all the vocabulary associated with baking and pâtisserie, and practise your comprehension and speaking skills while baking delicious sweet tarts. The best of both worlds combined for you!
