If you’ve been learning French for a while — or even if it’s been a while! — and you're ready to boost your confidence, this two-day immersion is made for you. It’s the perfect mix of fun and focus: dynamic classes, delicious treats, scenic walks, and playful moments — all en français.
Whether you’re brushing up after a summer break or looking for something beyond the classroom, this weekend will help you feel inspired, refreshed, and more fluent than ever.
🌞 The Programme
DAY 1 – SATURDAY
🕘 9:00 – 12:00 | Classe 1
Ease into the weekend with an engaging, communicative class designed to reactivate your spoken French and sharpen your listening and grammar.
🍵 10:30 – 11:00 | Morning Tea
Take a break and enjoy a French-style pause with sweet treats and good company.
🥐 12:30 | Lunch at French Basket in Dee Why (not included)
Head to a local French café with the group — a great opportunity to practise real-life conversation in a relaxed setting.
🌊 13:30 – 15:00 | Coastal Walk
Stroll along one of Sydney’s scenic paths while practising conversation in pairs or small groups.
🍫 15:00 | Chocolate-Making Workshop
Time to awaken your inner chocolatier! Discover the art of French-style chocolate making with a local artisan — and leave with your own creations.
🍷 17:00 | Apéro & Games
Wrap up the day with drinks and fun French games to unwind and connect.
DAY 2 – SUNDAY
🕘 9:00 – 12:00 | Classe 2
A new morning, a new boost! Dive into vocabulary, expressions and situations relevant to travel, food, and social interactions.
🍵 10:00 – 10:30 | Morning Tea
Recharge with another French-style morning break.
🥗 12:30 | Lunch in a local café (not included)
Enjoy relaxed conversation with your classmates over a shared meal.
🚶♂️ 13:30 – 15:00 | Walk & Conversation
Another light stroll — this time with engaging prompts to help you stretch your vocabulary and fluency.
⚫ 15:00 | Pétanque in Avalon (TBC)
Play a round of pétanque in the park like the French do! No experience needed — just your best esprit sportif.
🍽 18:30 | Dinner at a French restaurant (not included)
A festive and delicious way to close the weekend, at a local French restaurant with fellow participants and your teachers.
📍 Practical Info
The meeting point for both days is French à la Carte – Killarney Heights, where we’ll kick off our immersion sessions.
🅿️ Free, unrestricted parking is available on-site — easy and convenient!
For afternoon activities, you will have the option to drive yourself to Dee Why (on Day 1) or Avalon (on Day 2), or we’ll happily drive you there and bring you back to Killarney Heights at the end of the day.
The coastal walks are leisurely and suitable for most fitness levels. Chairs are available for pétanque, and participation is flexible.
