General French Classes in St Ives

At French à la Carte, the emphasis is placed on speaking and understanding the language with the right balance of fluency and accuracy. Our General French classes consist of expression and comprehension activities with relevant grammar and vocabulary exercises. Most importantly, we promote learning by tying in practical as well as cultural aspects of life in a French-speaking country. In addition, progression is tailored to the level and interests of the group being taught.

Our General French classes take place in St Ives, on Sydney’s North Shore, right next to St Ives shopping centre, with convenient and free parking. Our classes run from Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 4:30pm. We currently offer 19 group classes of all levels, from complete beginners to very advanced. Our groups have on average 12 students per class, and a maximum of 16 students.

French à la Carte will help you find a suitable class depending upon:

  • your current level of French: if you have a CECR Level (A1, A2, B1, etc..), let us know!
  • your availability

Each General French class moves up one level at the beginning of each year (in other words, one level = 4 terms).

Once we have identified a potentially suitable class, we’ll invite you to a trial lesson. Above all, our aim is to find a class where you’ll fit right in!
