Classes, Levels & Activities

Groups & Levels

Each group is taught by one or two FALC teacher(s) (depending on group size). Activities and topics are tailored to level and often connect to the day’s experiences. The goal is simple: improve comprehension and conversation, and “force” yourself (doucement !) to speak as much French as possible—all in a warm, encouraging atmosphere.

Participants are expected to use French throughout the immersion. English is kept to a minimum.

French Classes

Each day, French à la Carte teachers teach a French lesson tailored to the participants level, focusing on improving conversational French and fluency in speaking and comprehension. Each lesson may include some grammar, aural comprehension, writing and of course speaking.

Participants work in small groups on collaborative tasks. Topics can vary, but are always connected to an aspect of French culture.
